The 16th Annual Seminar for Professional Social Workers

The Joplin Professional Social Workers Group and Missouri Southern State University BSW Program are proud to sponsor a one-day continuing education seminar in observance of National Professional Social Work Month. Six contact hours of CEUs will be available at the end of the seminar. There will also be a silent auction with the proceeds donated to scholarships for local BSW and MSW students.

Seminar attendees are also encouraged to bring items for MSSU?s Lion Co-Op, a program that helps students who are dealing with food insecurity. Requested items include whole grains cereal, granola, oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, dry beans, canned beans, canned meat, nuts, nut butters, tuna packs, canned vegetables, vegetable juice, tomato sauce, dried fruit, canned fruit, fruit cups, soap, deodorant, shampoo, tampons, and other personal hygiene items.

Registration Fee Note: The registration fee for the seminar is 45 for social workers and 25 for students who register online (50 for social workers and 25 for students at the door). Students must present valid and current school ID for discounted price. When entering or updating your Credentials, either through a first-time account creation or the Profile page once logged in, please make sure they say either `Student` or your actual credentials (LCSW, MSW, etc.).
